constructNET International, Inc. is a pioneer in producing, customizing and delivering some of the best online educational and training solutions for the construction and trucking industries. In conjunction with Arizona State University (ASU) ConstructNet is amongst one of the most unique educational companies today! Since its incorporation in June 2005, it has secured a $500,000 five year contract from the Salt River project (SRP), to develop an online Construction Management Certificate Program.
In October 2003, the Director of Business Development at the Del E. Webb School of Construction at ASU, developed communications with Tecnológico de Monterrey in regards to how to best aggregate the construction industry’s comprehensive menu of quality education, training programs and products. These discussions paved the pathway for constructNET to provide academic quality and learner success in the growing market for online, post-secondary education.
Tecnológico de Monterrey is Mexico’s premier private university. It currently offers over 31 campuses as well as its Virtual University to students seeking undergraduate and graduate degree programs. Approximately 100,000 students are currently enrolled, representing Mexico and the United States. It collaborators and clients include institutions such as Harvard, Stanford, MT, Microsoft and the University of British Columbia as well as the Garvin School of International Management.
Together with construction industry leaders in Arizona, university officials decided to establish a private enterprise that would be able to identify, develop and deliver quality construction education and training programs through an online infrastructure. In August 2005, Arizona Technology Enterprises LLC (AzTE) took an equity position in constructNET. Shortly thereafter, in September 2005, Monterey Tec also took an equity position within the company.
